So, I have officially joined AuthorTube!
Below you will find the questions I answered, and if you so desire, you can answer them too. You don’t have to make a video to do so. If you prefer, just copy/ paste and answer them on your blog. Let me know if you do, so I can read your answers.

Here is a song I wrote in honour of how much I love the sky.
I wrote it back in 2015, and have been meaning to share it for a while. I don’t think I need to explain it further. The lyrics should speak for themselves.
Let me know if you like it!
Today I truly stopped giving a fuck about what every other writer on Earth is doing to make money from their self-published works. All that has ever bought me is anxiety and suffering because this industry is rough and I just don’t have the resources to compete.
So, friends, I am going to run my own race now. Wait, I am too lazy to run races. I am going to slowly march to the beat of my very own hand-crafted drum. The outside world no longer concerns me. I’m going to do things MY way.

On May 1st 2017 I will release not only The Fifth Warrior- Book One of the Disincarnates Series but Resfeber too.
Yes, folks, I am being serious. I will debut in the world of literature with two books because I’m awesome enough to do that.
The Fifth Warrior is my soul. Resfeber is my heart. I just can’t choose which one gets to be the first one, and I don’t actually see any real reason why I should separate them.

And so we arrive at the reason why I decided to start posting reviews here: The Noughts & Crosses series by Malorie Blackman. I am halfway in and boy, do I have a lot to say about it. Before I begin, here are 3 things you should know.
- I read Noughts & Crosses (retitled to Black and White) a few years ago, loved it, and then re-read it at the end of last year. I read Knife Edge about a week ago.
- I got these books from the library, and when it’s time to return Knife Edge I will get the rest of the series (if they are available of course).
- It is impossible to express my thoughts about Knife Edge without giving some BIG spoilers to the events of Noughts & Crosses. You have been warned!

I made up a few reading challenges in February.
One, in honour of my birthday, was to read a book that is as old as I am. I looked up a list of popular books published in 1992 and settled on either one of the original Goosebumps books by R. L. Stine, or, The Pelican Brief by John Grisham. But when I went in search of either at the second hand bookstore around the corner they were nowhere to be found, and I had to improvise.
I found The Ice House by Minette Walters there, and was going to buy it just to have on my shelf. It was a happy coincidence that it was published in ’92- something I missed when doing the research.
When I was in high school, about 16 years old, I read the Ice House and didn’t enjoy it as much as my sister thought I would. I guessed the end of it from the very first page and I seriously disliked the characters. I admit now that I was too young to appreciate its brilliance.

I meant to read Yes Man many moons ago when I found it at a charity shop for 5 ZAR (convert that into your currency, and you will understand what a score that was!).
When I bought it, I knew nothing about it apart from the fact that it spawned a Jim Carrey film adaptation. It seemed like a fun read but alas, it gathered dust on my shelf for months.
I picked it up again in February partly because I needed something I knew I would get through quickly, and also because it has red on its cover- symbolic of the month of love. Before I read it, I had a feeling that I would enjoy it. What I didn’t expect is that it would become a firm favourite- one of the best I have read in a while!
